WHY I WALK: VIDEOS

"We are walking the path of this proposed pipeline through the ancestral territories of the Lenape, Susquehannock, and Haudenosaunee Peoples with a prayer of transformation – to turn this pipeline route into a songline of remembrance of the truths that we hold to be self-evident."

Please record a short video telling us why you are walking. You could record while walking in the forest or the city, maybe sitting by a water source, with your family, or anywhere related to why you are walking. There is no need for fancy equipment or perfect lighting – simply share why you are walking and/or why you are supporting the women's walk.

Your story might be deeply personal. It might be joyful. It might be rooted in grief, gratitude, or hope. There is no script and there is no wrong answer. Speak from the heart.

Once you've recorded your video, share it on TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, or YouTube Shorts using the hashtags #WhyIWalk, #WomensWaterWalk, and #StopTheCON.

Some of us walk in honor of those already harmed by pollution, pipelines, and fossil fuel infrastructure. Some walk for children not yet born. Some walk for the streams, farms, forests, wetlands, and communities that raised us. Some walk because clean water should belong to everyone. Others walk because decisions about our land, water, health, and future should never be made without us.

Your stories are powerful.  Maybe you are here because of a video you have already seen? One voice inspires another. One step becomes many.  Just as water flows from one stream to another, stories have a way of reaching people we may never meet. Please share yours.

Whether you have spent decades organizing or are just beginning to learn about these issues, whether you live along the proposed Constitution Pipeline route or thousands of miles away, your story belongs here.
